Verify before you pay
Meet the owner in a suitable, safe location. Ask for ownership documents and seller identity. Match the horse, microchip, and records, and arrange an independent veterinary inspection before agreeing.
Take time before transferring funds
Do not send deposits based only on photos or promises. Avoid unfamiliar payment links and requests for verification codes. Never share your password or bank account access details.
Record the agreement
Record the horse identity, price, inspection, handover, transport, and other terms in writing. Both parties should retain supporting records. SAKB does not provide escrow or collect horse purchase payments.
Report suspicious behavior
Use the report action on listings, rooms, or messages, or contact support. Include relevant details without passwords or unnecessary financial information. You can block senders from the conversation page.
